This piece was created in lockdown. I wanted to put the confusion and thoughts that were in my head about this "pandemic" on to canvas. The mermaid sat on the rock is looking into nature (the place she felt most free) wishing the world could be more like this. The rock represents her being grounded, sticking to her true values and thoughts in her life, even when she felt alone. The grey/white birds are showing dictatorship and control, but the pink bird is the 1% rising up against the majority.
