"There are places on this earth where water is more precious than gold." Her name is Amidah, meaning “gracious”. She’s almost 6 yo. Against all the odds, she’s lucky enough to be alive. Children of Tanzania have 47% chances of mortality under 5 yo and the main reason is the lack of uncontaminated water. In Red Earth Village, the only source of water is a comunal well, 58m deep. Despite the sadness in her eyes, I hope for Amidah to live a gracious life.
