There are 130,000 frames in a 90 minute movie. My Life As A Film project cut 10 to 40 frames from a feature film - due to the computer's limited memory; then these would be slowed, sped up, reversed, looped and dissolved, adding new sound. In the end, to create new context and an isolated narrative from the original. Created on an Amiga 500. Premiered at Detroit's Museum of New Art, and in Europe at Galerie Lisi Haemmerle, Bregenz, Austria. The Sea, 1998 (Homage to the Quay Brothers)
