This 80-foot desert spire is a legendary spot located in the heart of Utah's back-country wilderness. For this shot, I used a drone fitted with custom flood lights during blue hour to highlight the rock features and isolate the pinnacle while adding a unique perspective to the scene. Light painting with drones is a difficult task to plan and execute well, this being no exception. Nothing in this frame is photoshopped or added/subtracted in post- this is a unique scene done completely in-camera.
