Mor Hananyo is an important Orthodox monastery. The monastery is located near the city of Mardin. It is usually better known by its nickname, the "Saffron Monastery" which is derived from the warm color of its stone. The photo is from the walls of Mor Hananyo with a view of the surrounding hills.
