Recently, The Metropolitan Museum of Art developed a digital archive of their entire collection. Unexpected results are common in a place where traditional curatorial considerations are no longer a priority. The artifacts cluster together to form delicate mobiles that exist again as tangible form in a world that can be touched and engaged with, but they are not what they once were. What they lack in context and historical grounding they are charged by the newness of proximity to one another.
