The black beaches of Iceland are a sight to behold at any time and having visited Iceland once before, but without a chance to go to the coast (we were exclusively exploring inland), I was all too keen to set my eyes upon them on this trip. Arriving late in the night at Vik, we bedded down as snow began to gently fall. Up early the next day I set off for the beach to be greeted with wonderful windblown snow patterns contrasting beautifully with the jet black sand. A sight I wont forget.
