Growing up I was lucky enough to go on multiple family trips to Yosemite, where this photo was taken. Back then, I was too young to truly comprehend the grandeur of this valley and its deep-rooted history. Every time I visit, I'm still enthralled by the beauty but I also appreciate how it set the precedent of my photography today — to inspire others to seek out places that make them feel present.
