This is a unique image , shot from an airplane, over the Grand Prismatic hot spring in Yellowstone NP, during the heat of summer when the colors are the most vibrant. This is really an amazing sight from the ground but the aerial view allows for an even more colorful and unique experience. If you zoom on the original image you can see people walking on the wooden boardwalk. I had this image in mind for a long time and it took me a lot of planning and years of patience to have all the right elements fall into place. It also was a very expensive image to get, having to charter my own airplane to take me over the area as drone are not allowed, making it even more unique of a picture.
