A reflection on my past, this painting depicts an ascension from abuse- For years I was mentally drained, destroyed, and hollowed out by a narcissistic abuser, hellbent on avenging her own past through my life. As I came into adulthood, the realization that she held no power over me began to overflow into reality; After being kicked out at 18, I began an adventure that would lead me to self healing, art, and people that loved me unconditionally. Now that I'm here, I've spread my wings, and desiccated the husk of a person that used to rule my life.
