The rooftop edge opens up towards the busy road, a thousand feet below, guarded by soaring towers whose lights merge into a seemingly impenetrable mesh. The light breeze comes as a welcome relief, but is not strong enough to take away the heat of the day. There are lights and sounds everywhere, but the continuous humming coming from the streets below always prevails. Fading voices and music coming from a lounge, the echo of a laughter, cars honking, reflections on glass and steel, they act as constant reminder of the living, pulsing metropolis around us. “Time to start our shift”, I hear my partner saying. Without turning my gaze from the view below, I raise my hand in acknowledgement. “Night is still young, give me a couple more minutes...” This signature project, captured by Land & Cityscapes in Downtown Dubai and processed in Arro’s unique style, extracts the essence from the strong impressions left after admiring a vibrant city at night and converts it into a timeless artwork.
