Second piece of my "CGI Classic Art" series done in 2019. This illustration is inspired by the famous sculpture "La Pietà" by Michelangelo Buonarroti (1497-99). In this digital version, which I called "Memories", I wanted to represent the Madonna as an astronaut who holds on her legs only the drapes that covered Christ. This symbolizes the Discovery and the beginning of something new at the same time.
