February 27th, 2020, a moment and an image that I will never forget. You see I had been trying to capture a shot of a bald eagle for about two years at this point, and had failed every single time. For me, it’s all those shots that I don’t get to take that stick with me the longest. They’re like reoccurring nightmares, full of all these pictures that I never got to take. So there I was, in Whistler BC with friends who were skiing and snowboarding all week. The only thing I wanted to do while there was search for my shot. After a week full of more failed attempts and disappointment, with my return flight fast approaching, I went out to explore one last time. The rest is history. I finally got my chance to capture an image of a bald eagle. I can't quite articulate just how special this moment was for me. My eyes were full of tears as I took picture after picture. All those failed attempts, all those nightmares, they disappeared. Don't ever give up.
