Hamersley Gorge is without a doubt one of the most spectacular gorges in Karijini National Park. It is best known for the Spa Pool, a beautiful natural pool beneath a small waterfall that flows well after the wet season. Like all gorges in Karijini countless injuries have occurred here and lives have been lost so extreme care must always be taken. I have visited Hamersley Gorge 4 times now and every time I find something new to photograph. This particular trip I was exploring near the Spa Pool when I discovered this unique angle. I setup my gear and waited patiently for the light. It wasn't too long before the last light of the day began to hit the gorge wall in the background making it glow a fierce orange.
