This image captures the moment a Haboob overtook the Grand Canyon back in July of 2021. Capturing Haboob's in Arizona are quite common, especially during the monsoon season during the Summer months. What is not common and is quite rare, is capturing a Haboob sweep across the Grand Canyon. What made this event even more epic was watching the Haboob waterfall into the Canyon floor as it hit the Park. The storm arrived right at sunset and just lit up the entire scene with crazy colors that where just simply incredible. What followed this epic scene was some pretty fierce winds up to 60mph and having to catch my camera gear as the wind almost destroyed the very camera that shot this image!!!
