My first minted film piece. I started shooting film earlier this spring and it had completely changed the way I think about photography. It has helped me appreciate color more, slow down while I capture life, and truly stay in each moment I click the shutter button in. It's been a blessing. This photo hit me hard when I got my scans back. I took it because there are rarely ever people on the streets of Charlotte in suits when I'm there. And his suit felt old-school too. I quickly snapped it and prayed I hit exposure. This was a new stock I had yet to experiment with so a lot of this outing was hopeful capturing. For me, I know when I took this photo time wise. But every now and then I glance at it as if it was taken decades ago. Sometimes the subject in this is a time traveler. And to me that's beautiful. Those who know me, know I love a story that creates itself post capture. I aim to show the variety in my work and this is the next step in doing so for my journey.
