Arjinjonathan Arjinkit, a painter who looks for the possibilities of painting and originality. Ajinjonathan works by observing traces of paint smeared on air bubbles or shockproof plastic until it becomes a beauty. “The idea of this series, I mentioned the originality of the painting process. When I work, I think and spend time developing a series. This work was created by me trying to paint on the shockproof plastic and then try to turn it over and then accidentally paste it on the paper I picked it up and looked at it, and it made me think. When we talk about the originality of a painting or printmaking, where are the boundaries? I started to develop this series by painting different colors onto the shockproof plastic and then overlay the prints on the canvas. If you look at many pieces of this series, their faces are so similar that they are almost indistinguishable. It's like a digitally-printed work, but it's actually drawing piece by piece.”
