This painting is a reflection on growth. It began as a loose series of marks and as I continued to push and pull certain areas, the figure in the image started to emerge. The textures and details in the piece come from observations in nature and interactions between paint and water. During this process I am using a form of automatic drawing and applying a series of thin layers to interpret and shape the final image. Materials: Acrylic on canvas Dimensions: 9" x 12"
