"The Wind-Beaten Tree". a photo that means the world to me because it is based off one of my favorite paintings ever made, of the same name, by Vincent Van Gogh. The Wind-Beaten Tree signifies ones tenacity for survival even through the harshest winds of life. The winds that bend us with it's painful pressure. Even so, our roots or our determination for survival digs into the earth and we remain. We remain, albeit, in a different shape. A stronger shape and a magnificent shape that tells the tell "These harsh winds of struggle did not defeat. Here, bent and beautiful, I remain." I think Vincent Van Gogh understood the beauty in that and so do I.
