When I started photography in 2013 I wanted to photograph as many genres as possible to find my niche and in my exploration of genres, I found that I enjoyed photographing dancers. Early one spring morning when I was taking some milky way selfies alone, I had the thought to use the flash on my camera to freeze my motion. A month later I had reached out to some dancers to test my new found idea. Not knowing if it would work out or if it would be a total bust, they were willing to try. It worked, and “Dancing with the Stars” became my niche. I have known Kara for over 30 years and she was the first dancer that I photographed back in 2013 and she was my first paying client. It only made sense to have her be in my genesis NFT piece. We planned to shoot for over a month but every weekend we were faced with smoke or clouds until we finally got clear skies. Since 2013 this unique idea has become a sensation among dancers, especially pole and aerial dancers.
