I have this story in my head where these spire-like coastal rock formations found at the southernmost edge of the Kii Peninsula, are the spine of a sleeping titan. I was filled with this sense of calm as I watched them sleep. The sun splashes golden light on those peaks, and it does not bother the sleepers––the dreamers. Perhaps they are protecting us and guiding us somehow. I feel as though they are trying to speak to me, and to photograph them is the only way I can hold that connection and understand what they are trying to say. Location: Kii Peninsula Japan
