During the pandemic there was ample time to get creative and before I entered the dizzy world of NFTs I spent the new 'free time' experimenting with the iPad. Many of the figurative sketches that I had done before the first lockdown suddenly had a new lease of life and I embarked on mixing them up and almost treating the artwork like I would treat a brick wall as if I were doing a street art mural. Adding images, overlapping images, taking away images, combining images, the Apple pen has a similar lineage to that of the spray can (although there is considerable less fumes using an Apple pen!) I have now started to bring together all these lockdown sketches to create new dynamic NFT artworks for Foundation and A PROMETHEUS DREAM is the latest in this adventure. There is something very satisfying in slowly seeing the art take shape, the subtle series of creative tasks that connect a morph together all the components and then a quiet nudge from The Creative Gods to say the job is done.
