A great scenery of starry sky over Mount Fuji. Rising 3776 meters above sea level, Mount Fuji is Japan's tallest mountain and most iconic landmark. I took this photo from the lakeside of Yamanakako, which is the easternmost, largest and second most developed of the Fuji Five Lakes. There are good views of the mountain from the lake, especially along the northern shore. Fortunately, the lake surface was so stable without wind, and I could capture the reflection of mount Fuji & stars. Glittering city lights was so beautiful equal to starlights. I love the composition of stars, “Sirius, Orion, Aldebaran, and Pleiades” are aligned on a horizontal line. We can see this composition only in winter. If you have a chance to come to Japan, please enjoy this fantastic view.
