The 'A-Spec' series is a continuation of an expressionist body of work, in which the artist juxtaposes highly specific instances of meaningful subjects from their past with increasingly abstract methods of digital painting. Each of these works has served as a form of meditation - created during rare moments of relaxation, nostalgia, and escape. And, despite each referencing something of a distinct shape and size, the pixel art inspired 'resolution' and cubist-like approach to form allows for mostly unplanned and unpredictable results across the set. The glorious red and white chevron of the Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99 points towards the storage space loophole that allowed it to race at Le Mans - a fuel tank (theoretically) capable of holding a standard suitcase.
