After Midnight - 2022 by Luther Brown. 13" x 19" 400dpi. I created this graphic popart piece based on a reoccurring childhood dream. I first remember having this dream as a young child. In this dream, I remember looking out my window across to my neighbors house and seeing a skeleton in a suit. At that age, the image frightened me. As I got older the dream no longer scared me, however resulted in a curiosity wondering why was I having this dream with this character. I remember after having the dream over and over, I thought "what if there was a skeleton that popped in and out of dreams, like a nightly job - not just my dreams, but everyone's". This dream, along with my love of graphic novels, comics, scifi-art, pop-art, and pop-culture is really the fuel behind this piece. I wanted to create something and share a piece of art that shaped me, something that impacted me.
