As a parent I forget how significant of a role I play in the movie that makes up my childrens lives.
The weight of it can be so heavy at times.
I am an example that they will base their entire lives off of.
I see my 1 year old watching everything I do and doing it too.
I hear her mimicking my tone whether that be happy, mad, frustrated or annoyed.
I feel her sadness as she acknowledges mine.
When I am in pain, she is in pain.
I watch my 7 year old go through the same internal struggles that I go through as an adult.
Then I look at my 7 month old. The way he looks at everyone and smiles so genuinely with so much love inside.
He reminds me daily,
Children come into this world as a blank canvas with nothing but love.
I just want to preserve their innocence from the world a little bit longer.
