Eight years in the making, sunset after sunset, sunrise after sunrise. Walking 70 flights here, 20 flights there, taking an elevator to a roof door, simple. Breathing needs to be done, this is where I do it. In a city where it is impossible to catch your own breath, space can be found up here. Sirens wailing below, fights breaking out, commutes underway. Up here though? None of that matters. Comprised of 20 frames, this series an extension of me. I have done tons of self reflecting in these spaces, there is just so much to figure out. Seeing the most photographed city in the world from perspectives which greatly differ from the norm can be a bit addicting. To this day, I find serenity amongst the concrete walls which makes up this city. I find myself on top of skyscrapers often, even at 28 years old, even without a camera. Some people have therapy, some people can hug their mother, I speak to New York City up here and it tells me everything I need to know.
