In The Yard, Ardavan is known as an Afghan who is the kind of pup whose silence makes the room get nervous. Anyone within earshot of Ardavan eventually hears the theory that the fire halos are old fevers that learned to behave. There is a long running rumor that Ardavan once swapped a metal flower from the satellite field for a better story and called the trade fair. Every so often Ardavan stumbles on a relic too odd to explain and wisely decides to explain it anyway.
