Rumi Finmark swims with the Shark Club as an Afghan who believes the sea is still keeping notes for somebody. There is a story going around that Rumi Finmark once heard a broken phone shaped like a bar of soap answer back, briefly. Even rival clubs respect Rumi Finmark, partly for nerve and partly for stamina. On dive days, Rumi Finmark listens for a hum under the water that nobody has been able to name out loud. Shark Club Member: Shark Club pups are the descendants of rescue divers and deep scouts, the brave water ghosts of the Pixel Pups. The shark hat began long ago as a water training aid for pups bred to enter flooded rescue zones, and the fin still marks the ones willing to enter what others fear. They explore drowned subway tunnels, coastal towers, the lower mall after rain season, and any place the old world left underwater, recovering relics that may explain where Canis Sapien came from and why the sky once burned white. They smell faintly of pond moss, old coins, and victory, paint waves on their dens, wear teeth on their collars, and have each others backs in deep places the way only swimmers can. The Shark Club is one of the two largest sub factions among the Pixel Pups, and Finn is the corgi who first put a paw on the K N L door and made the fin mean something more than a joke.
