Pups near the cracked freeway loop say Thatcher once stayed up all night arguing with a bent spoon argued to be a tiny shovel, and won. Council elders use Thatcher as the example whenever someone asks what loyal looks like in practice. Elders say a name like that tends to find its way onto the next mural, whether Thatcher agrees or not. Legendary detail: Thatcher carries the zombie mark from the era the sky burned white, the kind of look the mural beneath the flying den gave the four mutants standing under the circle of human figures, and old pups treat the mark as proof the species kept walking when nothing asked it to.
