Crassus is a Cane Corso the elders nod at when the Fire trait is mentioned, then refuse to elaborate. Crassus insists the flying den never really landed and is still arriving in slow motion, and nobody has had the heart to test it. Pups recognise Crassus from the back, which is a compliment in The Yard whether or not it sounds like one. Elders say a name like that tends to find its way onto the next mural, whether Crassus agrees or not. Legendary detail: Crassus carries the fire mark, the kind of sign elders associate with the spark Prometheus is said to have carried out of the old world dark, and pups stand a little quieter when the campfire lights it from below.
