In The Yard, Balto Blaze is known as a Dalmation who is marked like motion, gone before the sentence ends. Balto Blaze keeps a private map of the coastal towers, marked with which corners feel kind and which feel watched. There is a long running rumor that Balto Blaze once swapped a glass jar lantern that flickers with old light for a better story and called the trade fair. On clear nights Balto Blaze stares at the sky as if waiting for something that hasn't come back yet, and probably will.
