It is a digital virtual installation piece as an invitation to my physical solo show venue in Los Angeles. The concept of my art installation, Amaurosis: Destitute of Vision, is from an idea of my previous red thread installation series, which is about building an invisible human network by sawing red thread in a three-dimensional structure. Amaurosis installation is focused on specifically depicting our current transitional period of global pandemic situation, dark times like our vision of the future are unseen as if we have blinded eyes. The concept of red color is from the Asian philosophy of destiny, “An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet. It may tangle, but will never break." Throughout these transparent layers, red thread goes through like floating waves and creates the organic movements of flux and change from the current transitional period.
