Clodia (94 - 45(?) BC) is a Roman aristocrat and courtesan who influenced politics and patronized literature and the arts during the Roman Republic. A profligate beauty whose life was characterized by perpetual scandal, she had many lovers and had a special talent for writing poetry. Her life has been immortalized in the writings of Cicero and the poems of Catullus.
