The last remaining light kisses the Natural Bridge arch as the calm waves gently crash on the shore creating a juxtaposition of a glassy reflection as well as powerful movement. In this moment nothing else matters. The beauty takes hold as I stand there with my camera in hand. A rare moment of pure bliss in what would seem like such a chaotic spot. These are the moments I crave. Beauty so strong that not even your most prevalent problems can take up thoughts in your mind. This is when the world stands still. And rarely do I feel this. Even in stunning locations I usually find myself feeling frantic as I try my best to walk away from the location with a strong image, but not this time. This time my mind was completely clear, only having the slightest will to make an image out of this moment. Capturing only 3 total images I was not sure I had come away with a complete shot once I had left. But little did I know I came away with something beautiful. But I wanted to add just a touch more spice to the image as I felt like the sky was a bit bland. So, I decided to add the glowing moon. My goal wasn't to deceive people, so I made the moon quite large so that it was clear that it was composited. This is a touchy subject for a lot of photographers, but I felt this shot didn't fully capture the magic I felt when I was there. And my goal with art is to showcase not only beauty, but the emotions I felt as I shot it. That is exactly what I did when post processing this image, showcased the pure magic this scene offered.
