Gyoumei’s reference is the character from the Demon Slayer manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who strives to become a demon slayer after his family was slaughtered and his younger sister Nezuko turned into a demon. Gyomei Himejima (悲ひ鳴め嶼じま 行ぎょう冥めい) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the current Stone Hashira (岩いわ柱ばしら). Formerly a temple monk (Buddhist) in his village. In his heroic efforts to protect the children in the temple, Gyomei discovered a hidden power that helped him defeat the demon. The terrified children did not trust their mentor to stay in the temple and were unfortunately killed by the demon. Hashira (柱はしら, literally Pillars) are the highest-ranking fighters in the Demon Slayer Corps. As such, they are the organization's most elite and powerful warriors, each playing a key role in the war against the first-of-its-kind demon Muzana Kibutsuji and the Twelve Kizuki, as well as carrying important knowledge for later generations of fighters. In some ways, they can be compared to battle monks with different styles of elements (water, fire, stone, wind, thunder, love, snake, sound, mist, insect, flower) which they have learned from their masters.
