Justin’s reference is the Noah's gang of fighters from the Soul Eater manga series Soul Eater (ソウルイーター) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo. Set at the "Death Weapon Meister Academy '', the series revolves around three teams, each consisting of a weapon meister and (at least one) weapon that can transform into a humanoid. Trying to make the latter a "death scythe" and thus fit for use by the academy's headmaster Shinigami, the personification of death, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and one witch, in that order; otherwise, they will have to start all over again. Justin Law (ジャスティン＝ロウ), known as the Executioner, was a demon weapon and the former Death Weapon in charge of the DWMA Western Europe Branch. After succumbing to madness, he later became an agent of the Kishin and a part of Noah's Gang before later allying himself with the Clown Army. Noah's gang of fighters was a group led by the sorcerer, Noah. Unknown to even its own members, the group's purview is set up by the Table of Contents. The group was formed around some time after the Battle on Lost Island between the DWMA and Arachnophobia, with Justin Law making contact with an unidentified figure and joining forces with Noah as a result. The group's main objective is to assist the likes of Noah (Greed), whose ulterior plan includes acquiring "BREW" and the likes of capturing all of the fabled Great Old Ones, beings whose Madness Wavelength and very existence drive men insane. The Table of Contents, however, used Noah's influence and greedy personality for the acquisition of "BREW" and further a separate agenda.
