Observation
Above the branch where foreheads kiss,
This spectral mask, a frail decree,
Hangs poised for babe, so small, so new—
A crown of chaos, wrought to be.
Luci’s love, a trembling hand,
Strokes soft, unscarred delight below,
Yet dread seeps through his tender hold—
A fate is sealed in feral glow.
Not theirs to wear, this fractured light,
But hers, too soon, this veil to claim,
In masquerade’s wild, whirling night,
A child’s soul is masked, untamed.
