Observation
The Younger Self
"Youth is a storm, they say, but I was stone. While others laughed in the fields, I toiled in the dark. I was the dutiful son, the measured step, the one who built for others first, carried the burden so no one else had to. Now I reach for his mask—the elder who let the wind carry him. I built the foundation he stands on, yet he drifts lighter, unshackled by duty. What does he know that I do not? I envy him, perhaps. Or I resent him. Perhaps both."
