Observation
a mask within the masquerade—familiar, yet unknowable. it watches, as i watch, veiled in speculation, shrouded in doubt. if unmasked, would it lose its power? would i?
there is terror in being seen, a fragile magic in the unknown. i exist in the lonely space between—my name a whisper, my face a rumor. my identity is the creation. perhaps the mask is not to hide, but to protect. or perhaps, it is simply a part of me now, as much as the work itself.
