Observation
Dearest Kora,
I feel the hum of ancient breath beneath my feet. Their drums have grown louder, summoning the old powers from deep in the earth. My spirit quakes in awe and dread. I can scarcely see the sky through the wreathed limbs overhead, yet I know the sun still burns beyond this shroud. Remember my laughter by the fire, and the warmth we shared on our last night beneath the waxing moon.
My blood, soon to spill, shall water the land. My heart, soon to be torn from my breast, shall feed the old gods.
