Observation
How ironic it seems, to finally be a part of something yet still be sitting idly by.
All alone, daydreaming of a time I loved myself.
Wearing the mask I’ve always worn - an unconvincing, labored smile.
Waiting for the world to come to me.
Wishing everyone else would slow down so I could catch up.
Knowing it wouldn’t matter anyway. Because I’d still be sitting here, stuck in the tortured mind of my own making, running out of time to change it.
