Observation
A vine bag of oranges…
My mortal form has vanished, again.
I arrive when my slumber turns lucid. I dream.
Each voyage, a different reincarnation.
A mother, guarding her eggs in a cage. A cage, observing a flight from responsibility.
A woman, gleefully toasting, resting her foot on the chest of a man she loves. A man sharing a drink with a woman he doesn’t.
My Neanderthalic peers are anything but human, but every emotion they evoke in me is.
For when I sleep, I am finally awake.
