Observation

Is this a mask? I don't think so. I think it's a face. I think it's what remains when we forsake our true selves in pursuit of the ultimate prize. I experienced a very painful manifestation of this truth only a month ago - a life changing lesson that will remain in my being forever. I am grateful to receive a powerful confirmation here: it is not the ultimate prize. Even as I grasp it, my true self will look upon me, fervently awaiting my return. Thankfully, I haven't gotten out of reach.
