Observation
Death will come for you, my love.
And for me (please first for me).
And for everyone we know.
I say this not to frighten you. But to awaken you.
Your life is singular. It is yours alone to author.
You will be challenged.
You will falter.
There will be those that seek to direct your path.
They'll coerce. Intimidate. Mock.
It is noise. Mere ripples on deep blue waters.
Forge your sense of self, my child.
And above all else, to that self be true.
For while death awaits us all, this one life is yours to claim.
