Observation

What I feel and see in Sam Spratt's work is a sense of existentialism. Bringing me back to the tale of Adam & Eve and the story that follows the birth of humanity. The blend of abstract coupled with realism elicits a sense of human growth through a unique lens of hindsight. Aside from the imagery, the colors bring out a sense of unease. The use of earth-like colors induce a lurking darkness which prompts the viewer on an adventure to search for the light. The viewer is on a constant search for answers.
