Subtitle "모세 - 내가 태어나기도 전에 병들어버린 세상에" ‘모세’ -母世 : 모체의 세계 -暮世 : 최근의 세상 -暮歲 : 한 해가 저물 무렵 -Moses : 이스라엘 민족의 해방자 009 SIM_Scenery는 ‘모세’가 지니는 여러 가지 개념을 담아낸 연옥의 풍경이다. 이 공간은 새로운 생명을 잉태한 산모의 세계이며, 모체의 양수로 채워진 연옥의 해저를 표현한다. 생명이 붉게 약동하려 하는 가운데, 이 모세의 연옥은 이미 질병에 전염되고 말았다. 출산 이전의 산모와 태아가 이미 병에 걸렸다면, 태어날 지금의 세상이 이미 병든 공간이라면, 이 생명에게 있어 생을 획득하는 것은 진실로 기쁜 일일까. 이 병든 세상에 기적은 나타날 것인가. 이 연옥에서의 탈출도 어쩌면 또 다른 병든 세상을 향해 건져내지는 것은 아닐까. 다가오는 생의 날과 함께 연옥의 해저는 저물어간다. 'Giving birth to a life is giving birth to a death.' The series SIM_Scenery stems from this realization. SIM_Scenery works depict the 'the scenery of purgatory', an afterlife space between heaven and hell, before life and death. SIM_Scenery, starting from the analog production process, is completed digitally rather than as a physical original that can be destroyed. The scenery of purgatory is made by imitating the appearance of the present world, and 009 SIM_Scenery shows purgatory in the form of '모세(母世/暮世/暮歲, Mother's world/Moses)'.
