Daulac the Sincere is a member of the Knights of the Word - an elite group of warrior-judges who are responsible for upholding the Law of Covenants. In Popivot culture, there is no higher crime than lying - not even murder or war crime. These knights have pledged their lives to seeking out liars and either forcing them to make good on promises or (in the event that their lies are unredeemable) punishing them. Daulac, however, was recently tricked into swearing to defend the cause of a liar, though that cause is not what Daulac believed it was.
