Having slipped into a living universe from The Pit, the terrible entity known as the Chimera of Hatred travels like a beam of anti-light from world to world, instilling a seething, violent hatred in all sentience it encounters. As the creatures of a world in its grasp slaughter each other, the Chimera feeds on their hate and eventually leaves the world a perfectly smooth, bone-white sphere, like a pearl of pure hatred orbiting its lonely star.
