Jara-Jara was serving as an advance Lookitdat for the Wabaglobbian Lookitdat Forces when she stumbled - literally - on a leviathan shard. She did not realize what had happened, however, until she was stepped on while napping by a Mrn-Mrrhmr miner. Instead of being crushed, she squooshed out between his toes as a sticky goo, eventually regaining her shape. Since then, she has taken up with the Mrn-Mrrhmr, scouting out narrow tunnels for mineral deposits and nasty beasties, and being paid in squashed bugs.
